The Ballroom Community Engagement and Sponsorship Fund is dedicated to supporting ballroom-related initiatives, including balls, community events, and the various elements that contribute to organizing them. We are open to sponsoring any project or event that engages our community in a ballroom-centered space.
Guidelines for Applying and general information:
We are seeking bold, intentional, and adaptable concepts that speak to the heart of ballroom. All proposed projects must take place at least 30–60 days from the application deadline to allow for proper planning and coordination.
This fund prioritizes Black, Latinx, Trans, and POC individuals with active and rooted connections to ballroom. Whether you’re throwing a ball or organizing a community initiative, we want to hear from you.
Eligible projects may include (but are not limited to):

Family nights or healing gatherings with your ballroom family

Sponsorship for specific ballroom categories at upcoming balls

Ballroom-centered podcasts, vlogs, and media content

Workshops, teach-ins, and skill-sharing events for the community

Creative and community-engaging initiatives that amplify ballroom voices and experiences

Projects that document, preserve, or expand ballroom culture through innovative formats
Applications will be evaluated based on:

Strength and clarity of the concept

Feasibility and readiness for execution

Creativity and innovation within the project

Cultural relevance and alignment with ballroom values

The anticipated impact on and engagement with the ballroom community

Contribution to preserving, celebrating, or reshaping cultural narratives in ballroom
Next Steps:
Upon initial application review, if your concept aligns with our mission and the types of projects we aim to support, we will follow up to schedule a video conference to further discuss your ideas and vision in more depth.
All applicants will be notified via email regarding their application status.
Evaluation criteria encompass a holistic consideration of artistic merit, innovation, and community engagement.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE OPEN THE FIRST WEEK OF EVERY MONTH & ACCEPTED ON ROLLING BASIS
